Summer in Bozeman is packed with events, and that’s exactly how we like it. From theater and music to outdoor recreation, the opportunities are plentiful. All the outdoor activities that Bozeman hosts are in full swing. Everything from hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, climbing, golfing, camping, and more. When the sun starts shining in this neck of the woods, everyone gets out and about!

Summer Western Series

June 1 through August 29, 2018 - Movies start at 7:30 pm

Ellen Theatre

Enjoy thirteen classic westerns featuring stars such as John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Robert Redford and Spencer Tracy, to name a few.

 

Summer Series, Kids’ Classics

Each Sunday, June 3 through August 26, 2018 - Movies start at 2:00 pm

Too hot to be outside? Bring the whole family to the matinee for kid classics such as The Adventures of Milo and Otis, Matilda, and Free Willy. Cost is $2.00 at the door, first come, first served.

 

Farmers’ Markets

The summer bounty gets into full swing during June and the farmers’ markets are the perfect way to enjoy the delicious foods grown in our area. Art and craft vendors, food trucks, kids activities and live music round out the events.

Bozeman International Film Festival

June 7 through June 10, 2018

Various venues throughout Bozeman

In its inaugural year, Bozeman International Film Festival is celebrating women filmmakers, directors, actors, and producers, with seventy films from sixteen different countries and cities as far reaching as Dubai. The festival is spread throughout ten venues including The Rialto, the Ellen Theatre, the Willson Auditorium and various locations on the MSU campus.

 

Jordan World Circus

June 7, 2018 - 7:00 pm

Still as popular as you remember, the Jordan World Circus comes to Bozeman with aerialists, acrobats, rare white tigers, elephants and of course, the clowns! Bring the kiddos to experience an authentic circus performance, (and maybe a little nostalgia for the grown-ups).

 

Montana Shakespeare in the Parks

June 13 through June 23, 2018 - 8:00-10:00 pm

MSU Duck Pond

A summer favorite, Shakespeare in the Parks brings professional productions to rural communities. In partnership with Montana State University, this touring company brings entertainment to places that may not otherwise have access to such performances. This year’s shows, Love’s Labour’s Lost and Othello are sure to please! All shows are free to the public.

 

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

Saturday, June 17, 2018 - 8:00 pm

Emerson Cultural Center

You know them for hits such as “Fishin’ in the Dark” and “Mr. Bojangles,” the legendary Nitty Gritty Dirt Band comes to Bozeman fresh off their 50th-anniversary tour, still delighting audiences with their Country Rock and American Roots Music.

 

Music on Main

Thursdays, June 29 through August 17, 2018 - 6:30-8:30 pm

Downtown Bozeman

A local favorite, this downtown summer concert series is in its 17th year! Each Thursday Main Street hosts live music, food trucks, kids activities and a little retail therapy. Grab your boogie shoes and hit the town.
