It was more than a love of food that brought to life the Community Food Co-Op in Bozeman, MT. It was bigger than that. I sat down with Kelly Wiseman, General Manager, to talk about the flavor and success of this Bozeman staple for healthy food and groceries.

When the ski lifts stop turning, outdoor junkies start tuning up their mountain bikes and waiting for the trails to dry out. Surrounded by six mountain ranges, beginning to advanced riders can find adventure in every direction. The rides listed below are all relatively short, but if you’re feeling aggressive enough to carry gear, some have Forest Service Cabins, (reserve early, they are popular!) We’ve provided some general information, but always check a detailed map and trail conditions before heading out, weather changes quickly in Montana!
Yellowstone National Park is just a stone’s throw from Bozeman, and seeing it in its winter glory is something special. Snowshoeing is one of the most intimate ways of experiencing the natural beauty, and it’s an easy activity for any age and ability.
The options are plentiful; you can plan an excursion for any duration and skill level. All trails and roads are open to snowshoeing; however, if you are on a ski trail, snowshoers are required to walk alongside the trail to keep the ski tracks in order.

It’s hard to beat this kind of race course! There are numerous runs to choose from, many which support local causes, and some simply to just get out and have some community fun!
The culinary scene in Bozeman is nothing short of what you would find in larger cities. Fine dining, in particular, is full of diverse flavors, locally sourced food, and is prepared by amazing chefs who are happy to be living in a mountain town. In other words, “It’s happening.”
Bozeman is known for being an outdoor mecca. Back in the 70’s, people began moving to the area for its mountaineering opportunities that lie in close proximity to town. A great example is Triple Tree Trail, where locals have historically hiked, biked and skied.

Bozeman is a mountaineer’s hub. There’s a reason the town boasts a cadre of world-class mountain athletes and a mainstream community of peak-bagging outdoor-folk. Summertime bar talk often consists of sharing hiking beta and planning upcoming "goal" hikes, often driven by the simple question: What peak are you going after next?
