Sleigh Rides Around Bozeman

Winter in Bozeman may not feel quite like a Hallmark movie, with its unpredictable weather and often below-freezing temperatures, but it is certainly as pretty as one. One quintessential holiday movie activity you can do while you’re in Bozeman for the winter is taking a sleigh ride! Read on to see where you can go dashing through the snow.

Bodhi Farms

Bodhi Farms is a delightful spot tucked away in the foothills around Bozeman. They offer sleigh rides throughout their property from December 14th-30th, 2022. Choose the farm sleigh ride, an hour to 90-minute-long experience to their backyard firepit with bar service. Or, the sleigh ride and prime rib dinner is a two-and-a-half-hour experience complete with a 3-course meal served in the dining tipi.

Lone Mountain Ranch

Head up to Big Sky and Lone Mountain Ranch for a dinner and sleigh ride experience you won’t soon forget. Available December through March, the Lone Mountain sleigh ride leads you to an oil-lantern-lit cabin for a family-style prime rib dinner. This dinner also includes a show, with cowboy singer-storytellers providing entertainment while you dine for a unique old-west experience.

Elkhorn Ranch

South of Big Sky, in Gallatin Gateway, is Elkhorn Ranch, a secluded spot where you can experience private sleigh rides through Gallatin Canyon. Operating Thursday to Sunday from December 15, 2022, to February 26, 2023, Elkhorn Ranch offers two unique sleigh rides and dining options. Choose from either lunch or dinner options, including two drinks, appetizers, a main course, and dessert, along with your ride. Both experiences are 3 hours long, but the lunch package is more affordable if you want to save a little money.

320 Guest Ranch

Also in the Big Sky area, 320 Guest Ranch offers sleigh rides annually from December 16th to March 11th, pending snow conditions. Their appetizer sleigh ride takes you along the Gallatin River to a campsite, where you will enjoy a cup of wild game chili, cheese and crackers, popcorn, hot beverages, adult beverages, ranch stories by a bonfire, and a sleigh ride back to the front office.

Sunrise Pack Station

From December to February, head to Sunrise Pack Station for their one-hour sunset or nighttime sleigh ride. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate by the campfire, plenty of stars on a clear night, and delightful conversation by the kerosene lamplight. Sleighs glittered with Christmas lights provide an added ambiance for your trip.

Cache Creek Outfitters

Head up to Big Sky for a unique hour-long sleigh ride through the Montana backcountry from December to March annually. Cache Creek offers the only heated sleighs in the area to keep you warm on even the coldest of nights. Their sleigh rides take you to a timber frame dining hall heated by a wood barrel stove for a prime rib meal you won’t soon forget.

Yankee Creek Carriage

Nestled in Gallatin Canyon, Yankee Creek Carriage sleigh rides offer two options for your adventure. Either a 10-12 person sleigh or a more intimate one-horse open sleigh that seats up to four guests. Both options take you through the Montana countryside on back roads through the canyon.

Make this holiday season visit to Bozeman one the family will be talking about for years to come, with a memorable sleigh ride adventure through Montana.
