What's New to Explore in Bozeman This Summer?

Bozeman is a rapidly growing community, so even for those who are lucky enough to live here, there’s always a new restaurant to try, venue to visit, or community event to attend. If you’re planning to come and see us this summer, here are some of the exciting new things you definitely should explore.

New Restaurants for a Meal to Remember

Not to brag, but Bozeman truly has the best dining scene in Montana, and even the locals have trouble choosing which new place to try (or old favorite to visit). This summer, check out some of the best new places with the most delicious offerings: La Esquina, Merry Piglets, and Bitterroot Bistro. And heck, if it’s all new to you, we suggest you try Little Star Diner, Blackbird Kitchen, Montana Ale Works and Hachi Sushi Pub. We can’t list all the really great restaurants in Bozeman, but trust us: you can’t go wrong!

New Art to See at Museum of the Rockies and Beyond

Bozeman’s art scene really heats up in the summertime, so for those who love art, history and culture, it’s the perfect time to visit. People of all ages will want to see “Dragons, Unicorns and Mermaids: Mythic Creatures,” a new exhibition that debuts at the Museum of the Rockies at the end of May and will run through early next year. Exploring the “origins of legendary beings worldwide,” this show will feature “a mesmerizing showcase of imaginative models, captivating paintings, and rich cultural artifacts.” At the Bozeman Art Museum, check out “Glacier Revisited” through July 20, and don’t miss the annual Sweet Pea Juried Art Show and SLAMfest if you’re lucky enough to be here in August.

New Places to Shop for Something Special

If you appreciate super high quality goods and delight in bringing home souvenirs and gifts that are truly unique, then you are going to be wowed by the retail scene in Bozeman. Every month or so it seems like there’s a hot new retailer on Bozeman’s Main Street or in the downtown area. Fairly recent additions include Lucchese, Fjallraven, Meridian Men, Backcountry, Stio, and Belle Cose. We hope you left a little extra room in your suitcase because we know you’re going to find something to love in downtown Bozeman!

New Music at The ELM and the Rialto

There have never been so many great options for live entertainment in Bozeman, and two of our most popular music venues⸺the new-ish, state-of-the-art Elm and the recently renovated historic Rialto Theater⸺have joined forces to bring some incredible artists to the Gallatin Valley. Earlier this year, the long-running event management company Logjam Presents renewed its partnership with the Rialto, which means you can expect a fantastic lineup of shows featuring world-class production and a uniquely Bozeman experience at both venues. So far, this summer’s artists include Theoretical Blonde, A Night of Patsy Cline, Noah Cyrus, Lyle Lovett and His Large Band, Igor & The Red Elvises, and The Head & The Heart. Bookmark the Logjam events calendar and check back often for what’s sure to be an exciting summer season at two of Bozeman’s best venues.
